Xeomin

Discover Xeomin, a “naked” neurotoxin wrinkle relaxer with no added proteins. Get natural-looking results with Luminare KC’s experienced injectors in the Kansas City area.

What Is Xeomin?

Xeomin (incobotulinum toxin A) is an FDA-approved injectable neurotoxin used to temporarily relax the muscles responsible for fine lines and wrinkles. Like Botox and Dysport, it belongs to the family of botulinum toxin-based treatments, but it stands apart in one important way.

Xeomin is often called the “naked” neurotoxin because it contains only the pure active ingredient, with no added accessory proteins. This makes it a great option for patients who have developed a resistance or reduced response to other neurotoxins over time, and for those who prefer a cleaner formulation.

What Can Xeomin Treat?

Xeomin is FDA-approved to treat moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, and it’s also commonly used for forehead lines, crow’s feet around the eyes, brow shaping and subtle lift, lip lines and lip flip, neck bands, and bunny lines.

Our providers will assess your areas of concern and develop a personalized treatment plan based on your goals and facial anatomy.

What Are the Benefits of Xeomin?

What Results Can You Expect?

Results from Xeomin typically appear within 3 to 5 days, with full effects visible around 2 weeks after treatment. Results generally last 3 to 4 months, similar to other neurotoxin options.

We’ll check in after your appointment to make sure you’re happy with your results and discuss any adjustments for your next visit.

Before and After Your Appointment

Before treatment: Avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and fish oil supplements for 5 to 7 days if possible. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. Come with a clean, makeup-free face if possible.

After treatment: Stay upright for at least 4 hours after treatment. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Do not rub or apply pressure to the treated area for 24 hours. Avoid excessive heat including saunas, steam rooms, and hot yoga for 24 hours.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Xeomin?

Xeomin is suitable for adults looking to reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated muscle movement. It’s a particularly strong option for patients who have noticed reduced effectiveness from other neurotoxins over time, those who prefer a product with a simpler additive-free formulation, and anyone new to neurotoxin treatments looking for a clinically proven option.
